1. Your Attire

Make sure you dress the part. Ladies, wear simple flats and gentlemen, wear loafers! This is your time to dress to impress, so wear some formal pants and suits to get to show professionalism.

2. Background Knowledge

One of the easiest things you can do is to research about the company you are interviewing for! They will love the fact that you know a little about their company as well as their mission beforehand.

3. Attitude

Elaborate on positivity to the point that the interviewer feels the energy. Make sure to show confidence; you can use a trick of faking it till you make it by acting like you are the perfect fit for the job!

Make sure to emphasize on their requirements in a favorable way, letting them know that your work ethic matches what they’re looking for.

4. Eye Contact

Make sure to keep eye contact with the interviewer, showing you have great communication skills as well as confidence. Although it may be awkward at times, just remember this interview is the time to display promoting qualities. You have to get out of your comfort zone and show just how passionate and confident you are about the job. If you are looking away as you speak to your interviewee, it may lack emotional connection which can make you come off cold or as a tad socially awkward.

5. Don’t Stress

Stay calm and don’t overthink in the lobby waiting for the interview, the night before, or during the interview. You may want to practice with a relative or friend with some questions to help build up your preparation; however, the key is not to stress. This isn’t a life or death matter. There are going to be so many more opportunities out there that if you don’t get this certain position, it’s ok!

You can always reapply again and remember we live in the land of opportunity — there is always going to be something out there for you.

6. Early Bird

Get there early! It’s always better to be early than late when it comes to the professional world. It is actually appreciated and a plus on your application if you show up to your interview 10 minutes early (letting the front desk know you are there).

Remember to always be calm and happy! Good luck.
